Joy grew up in Pennsylvania with her mother, two siblings and pastor father. They moved to Alaska in 1998 where she earned a degree in Business Management at the University of Alaska Anchorage.  At the age of 22 she became the Center Director of the HeartReach Pregnancy Center in Wasilla, Alaska.  There she saw first hand the struggles many women face when dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.  Her personal conviction that "people deserve better than abortion" grew as she served on the front lines in her pregnancy center.  In 2006 Joy joined the Care Net National staff in Virginia and currently serves as Vice President of the Center for Organizational Excellence.  Joy currently holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Her wisdom, wonderful sense of humor, and unique story telling ability makes her the perfect guest speaker for us as we celebrate 20 Years of Compassion at Its Best.
