SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE SUNDAY is January 18, 2009
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is a day when Christians around the world
reflect on the sacredness of all human life created by God. What is the Baby Bottle Campaign? It is an opportunity for people in organizations and churches to put their pocket change into a baby bottle to help Care Net provide abortion alternatives to women and their families. It is an important fund raiser for Care Net and everyone loves how easy it is. Here's how it works. Care Net provides baby bottles based on how many you need. We recommend one per family, although some families like to have more. These are to be picked up at the Administrative Office, 2414 Genesee Street, Utica (upstairs from 2412 Genesee). The church or organization distributes them on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, in January, where the Baby Bottle Campaign can be explained. Encourage folks to take a bottle on their way out. At home, put the baby bottle in a popular place (on a dresser, desk or kitchen counter) as a reminder to pray for the safety and salvation of mothers and their unborn children. Drop your pocket change, currency or checks in the bottle as an offering to help Care Net continue to provide free abortion alternative services. On the first Sunday in March collect the bottles. It's best to make an announcement several Sundays before to remind people to bring in their bottles in. Bring the bottles to a Care Net center near you. We will count the money and credit it to your church. It's a wonderful blessing to us and a relatively easy way to increase your church's mission giving. If you have any questions feel free to call us at 733.5404. |
